1 Peter 2:1-12 Maturity and Ministry
- Author: Peter the apostle, probably dictated to Silas (aka Silvanus)
- Date: early 60s, encouraging believers during persecution of Nero
(when Peter was martyred).
Peter has just been talking about being sober-minded, living with our hope
set on our glorification with Jesus, with God's Judgment of our work in mind,
and so living holy and loving lives as "Strangers in a Strange Land".
